In this paper, we describe how we found that the genes Pink1 and parkin regulated mitochondrial DNA mutation levels in distinct cell types. We also discover that proteotoxic species can increase mitochondrial DNA mutations levels in the nervous system of C. elegans.
14 April 2021: Our latest work led by Chris Brosnan in the lab is out at Nature Communictions!!! We developed a map of active miRNAs in different major tissues in C. elegans and demonstrated some interesting miRNA-Argonaute interaction principles.
